Ghatiya Ghat

Sukun important hai baba

Baba vaat lag gayi thi meri ghat meim.
Was riding to Lonavala. We were going to Tiger Hill. There are many steep ghats in the way.
But this was something else. I haven't faced such a turn, which was too sharp and was very steep.

I was riding Royal Enfield Himalayan and was on 2nd gear. As soon as I took my bike for the turn I realized its too steep and sharp and won't be able to make it in 2nd gear had to go for 1st gear. But it was too late and my bike stopped.

Both my legs down, Bike on standstill, Front brakes tightly pressed. I was standing still in one of the steepest roads I faced in my life.

My bike weighs around 191 kg even if I tried to bend a little bit left or right my bike will definitely fall and my leg is going to get crushed or I might lose my balance and throw myself out of it.

I thought this is it...This is my debut fall from my bike. Was very difficult to hold on since complete bike weight was coming to my body.

One of my friend and fellow rider Yash who was behind me stopped his bike and was guiding me too slowly get down the steep road while loosing up the brakes.

Somehow after around 10 minutes of struggle, I backed off from my current position and restarted my bike and this time no mistakes, was on 1 first gear and was easily able to climb that steep turn.

Conclusion:

That's it, right... If you find yourself in difficult situations hold on there for some time, listen to your near and dear ones, Step back a little if needed and restart everything and try once again to move in that same situation you will make it effortlessly.
