Confusion😕 about Appraisals
Its Appraisal time in most of the companies and its time to think that what the hell productive did we do last whole year which will give us some good Rating which results to rise in pay.....
now the company that I work in, follows some procedure where I have to fill a performance form,(which by the way sucks in UI you will not feel like filling anything) where I have to write regarding my work was done last year.
There might be people like me who are always CONFUSED while filling the appraisals. So what to fill? each time when the process starts, below points might help you.
Now any company's home page website looks amazing by amazing I mean user-friendly, superb UI.
You will always feel like surfing more in the website that's because customers or users are going to use it and they are termed as gods and should be treated like one.Fair Enough!.I have no problem with that.
But the websites or portals that are created for the employees look like the toilets in a railway station... No matter which page you visit it sucks.
Now lets come to our page of performance.
You know when you use the public toilets there is a toilet that is the most disgusting one.Hmm, you are right that is our performance filling pages.
Now in many organizations before the completion of the appraisal process.There is an OPEN HOUSE meeting which is organized by Smart, Good looking, Handsome, Sexy Corporate over-Educated people they speak very well because they have good tongues which gives them one more special feature of licking..ya they are very good at that too.
The main speaker is no one but "सबकी आंड सबकी शान" the CEO and there are many people who speak but he speaks the best because उसने IIT से इंजीनियरिंग करके IIM से MBA किया है .He knows all the ways to fuck the employee no matter what question you ask him, he has the answer to all...(if u have not attended any open house sessions do attend it ....because it teaches yu how a single person makes a fool of 1000's of his employees in just half an hour or less).
It's a great experience.
So they basically tell you all the statistics of your organisation and tell you repeatedly that you have done a great work the whole year,
the management did a great job the HR obviously did a great job, distribution of awards, great work, well done, amazing, superb, keep it up, the company is in another level itself thanks to you guys .....
BUT they will have some news or some news with evidence or something which might be above your head to understand that the company will have some problem in giving you raise.
I think you understood what they are saying or are you still CONFUSED please read again... it's quite clear that nothing is clear.According to me, I guess...
So waat now...Ha Waat लग गयी...Again less money...you will not be able to buy that bike( I dream of a bike)...Sharmaji के बेटे को जयादा salary मिलेगा, your TCS, Infosys, Wipro friends will make fun of you, Relatives will make fun of you, your parents who always tell you to be like that person in the family will get triple of his normal salary and don't know what not will happen, some of my friends even did not get any raise that was pathetic, some got 1000 rupees annual raise more pathetic इसे अच्छा नहीं देते.
What Now then. Will you talk to your manager? Haa small joke. Talk to HR might work? Ha Ha Hahaha BIG JOKE.
So for the next year will you stop working or become less loyal and honest or you will protest, what will you do?
Remember you are in a private firm (as your parents say they can remove you any time true but not true all the times) if you do the above things there are chance u might get fired.
जोब गया भाड़ मे ...But definitely, there is a chance that when you do the above things you might get outdated...So what should u do?
Let me see if I can enlighten you...
So First you should accept the fact that there is nothing you can do about your salary raise but what you can do is... From next day onwards u should do your job but you should not give any fuck about it.By that what I mean is you should never stress about anything...
Chill each and every-time at any situation...and give time to self-development whenever you feel you can give something more to your manager and project and that feeling comes many times. By self-development I mean learn skills that your company is not allowing you to learn just because they don't need it, but you like it.
Try to use all the resources around, the best is the internet, see all the software installed inside your pc some might be interesting and you might even love it, learn it, go open source, break some rules nothing is going to happen always ask yourself the question what can happen the worst? and you will get your answer.
CONCLUSION:
Slowly but eventually you can see yourself progressing and if you are lucky enough you might also see your company's project going down.Then there is only one thing to do get the fuck out of the company or what we call corporate world's favourite word "SWITCH".
